The National Security Council is in continuous session following attacks on the Akrotiri bases. The President of the Republic assured that Cyprus is not participating in military operations, remaining committed to its humanitarian role.

An extraordinary National Council assessed the protocols, prioritizing the safety of Cyprus and its citizens. Following communication with the Prime Minister of Greece, Greece decided to assist with increased precautionary measures.

The Greek Minister of Defense announced the immediate dispatch of the frigate "Kimon", a second frigate with the Centaur system, and a pair of F-16 fighter jets to Cyprus. He and the Chief of HNDGS Dimitrios Houpis will travel to Cyprus to cooperate with Vassilis Palmas and President Christodoulidis.

Konstantinos Letymbiotis thanked the Greek government and stated that there was a telephone conversation with the President of France and contacts with other countries.

Four F-16s landed in Cyprus. The Republic assures that the Barak Mx air defense system is fully operational. Radars recorded two drones heading towards the Akrotiri bases and were intercepted.

"Our air defense is fully operational and in use," said the Government Spokesman.
