Nicosia is considering the purchase of approximately 80 Griffon vehicles and approximately 100 Serval vehicles from a French state-owned company. Some of these may carry anti-tank missiles.

According to the report, the potential agreement is linked to the European SAFE program.

The report also states that Cyprus is in discussions with another French company to upgrade approximately 80 VAB armored vehicles from the National Guard's fleet.
