Koullas: AKEL's Policies Destroyed the Country

Onoufrios Koullas, Press Representative and Member of Parliament for Democratic Alarm, stated that AKEL's policies "destroyed the country." The statement was made in response to a press conference by AKEL.

Mr. Koullas emphasized that Democratic Alarm supports consistent borrowers, depositors, and guarantors, while opposing the policies of AKEL, which he sees as having ELAM as an ally.

He referred to the ESTIA and Oikia Plans, as well as the "rent for installment" plan, noting that they helped thousands of borrowers. He demands that the government improve and re-announce the "rent for installment" plan for those who need it, provided that the beneficiaries have paid at least 50% of the initial capital.

"AKEL's simplistic solutions were implemented in practice during their five-year term and destroyed the country," Mr. Koullas emphasized.
