Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, stated on Sunday that there is no room for prolonging the existing state of affairs regarding the Cyprus issue. Speaking at the Church of Soteros Christou in Tala, where he delivered the eulogy for heroes Christos M. Kkelis, Miltiadis Stylianou, Georgios Michael, and Charalambos Karagiannis, Mr. Letymbiotis emphasized the need to defend the dignity of the Republic of Cyprus.

Mr. Letymbiotis underlined the unwavering will to resume negotiations from where they left off in Crans Montana, with respect for International Law and the principles of the European Union. He also expressed readiness for the convening of an expanded conference under the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The Government Spokesperson concluded by emphasizing that the collective responsibility is not to hand over a divided homeland to future generations, but a free homeland.
