The Pancyprian Bar Association will report the arbitrary "arrest" of five Greek Cypriots in the occupied territories to the European Union and every competent international organization.

In a statement, the Association condemns "in the strongest terms the illegal and arbitrary arrest" of the five Greek Cypriots, arguing that it was carried out with ulterior motives and with the aim of intimidation. The charges against them, according to the Association, constitute an attempt to criminalize their presence and claim to rights.

The Pancyprian Bar Association reminds that the "police" and "courts" in the occupied territories lack legitimacy and operate illegally, in violation of international law, and their actions have no legal force.

This action, according to the Association, constitutes a violation of human rights, such as the right to freedom of movement, property, and dignity.

The Association expresses its solidarity with the detainees and demands their immediate release, declaring its determination to continue the struggle for justice and the protection of human rights in Cyprus.

The matter will be reported to the European Union and every competent international organization.
