İzzcan: Conspiracy to Present 5 Greek Cypriots as Spies

The leader of the United Cyprus Party (BKP), İzzet İzzcan, condemned a "conspiracy" to present five Greek Cypriots as spies in the occupied territories. İzzcan argued that this case reveals the nature of the regime in the occupied territories.

In a written statement, İzzcan mentioned that he attended the "trial" of the five Greek Cypriots, who were accused of illegal entry and crossing a military zone without showing identification. He claimed that the assertion of not showing identification was false and that the malfunction of the cameras, as claimed by the "police", reveals the true situation.

İzzcan referred to a blackmail plan regarding the arrest of Jewish businessmen in "southern Cyprus" and emphasized that the issue of property cannot be resolved with such methods. He also stated that the Immovable Property Commission would be negatively affected by such incidents.

"We condemn the victimization of Cypriots by threats and political blackmail in Cyprus," İzzcan stated, emphasizing the need for peace and the continuous defense of the rights of all Cypriots.
