Yilmaz: Turkey and Occupied Territories Share a Common Future

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, during an illegal visit to the occupied territories, stated that Turkey and the occupied territories share a common future. The statements were made after a meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar.

Mr. Tatar thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his support, referring to the difficulties faced by Turkish Cypriots due to embargoes. He also reiterated the condition for direct trade and flights.

Mr. Yilmaz emphasized the importance of political stability and cooperation with Turkey for development.

The Greek Cypriot side was criticized by Mr. Tatar for its actions on property issues, with him stating that it is not possible to start a formal negotiation process.
