Georgiadis: Supreme Court to Decide on European Prosecutors' Term Renewal

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis asserted that the Supreme Court (Areios Pagos) will decide on the renewal of the term of the assigned European Prosecutors. In a post, he stated that the Supreme Judicial Council (ADS) will make the final decision in May.

Georgiadis responded to criticism he received, claiming he was the first to reveal the involvement of the ADS. He also criticized the opposition, specifically PASOK, for questioning the procedures.

Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis confirmed that the decision on the term renewal will be made by the ADS, emphasizing that it will be an unbiased decision by the judges.

Georgiadis accused the opposition of creating a divisive climate between European and Greek judges.
