Tax Returns 2026: What 18-Year-Olds Need to Know

The countdown to this year's tax returns has begun, with the online platform opening on March 16th. Special attention is needed from young people who turned 18 in 2025, as they may be required to file a tax return for the first time.
Which 18-year-olds are required to file:
- Those who do not live with their parents.
- Those who own assets, such as a car or house.
- Those who earned any income in 2025 (salaries, rent, etc.).
- Those who started a business or freelance profession in 2025.
- Those who are married.
How to obtain access codes to AADE:
- Submit an application to the myAADE digital portal.
- Receive the key number via identification, video call, or appointment.
- Activate the user account in TAXIS.
Income tax is paid in eight monthly installments, with the first due by the end of July. Discounts are available for lump sum payments until July 15, 2026.
