Famellos: PASOK Heading Towards Historic Mistake

The president of SYRIZA PS, Sokratis Famellos, stated at the party's Central Committee that PASOK is heading towards a historic mistake by insisting on an autonomous course.

Mr. Famellos emphasized the need for progressive collaborations and referred to the invitation he received from the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, to participate in a dialogue table within the framework of the PASOK Congress.

The president of SYRIZA clarified that he will greet the beginning of the Congress and submit his opinion on the need for unity, but the programmatic dialogue cannot take place within the framework of a party Congress.

He also commented that Nea Aristera (New Left) does not contribute to the strategy of the popular front, while emphasizing that the role of Alexis Tsipras is crucial in the unification effort.

Referring to the criticism of Pavlos Polakis, Mr. Famellos stated that the discussion about fiefdoms is unacceptable.
