The new system for appointing temporary teachers has caused disruption and a sense of injustice, according to the General Secretary of A.Ki.DA., Michalis Alexopoulos.

Mr. Alexopoulos points out the lack of transparency and the injustices arising from the system, emphasizing that teachers who should have been appointed remain unappointed.

Particular concern is expressed about the treatment of teachers with special reasons for pregnancy or infant care, where there seems to be an informal numerical limit, violating the principle of equal treatment.

Mr. Alexopoulos proposes improvements to the system, such as protecting teachers with special reasons, correcting injustices due to administrative errors, and allowing acceptance of positions without further improvement.

In addition, he calls for all available needs to be met in the next distributions and for an immediate dialogue to begin for a clear legislative framework.

Mr. Alexopoulos calls for immediate interventions to make the system reliable and fair, for the benefit of teachers and the smooth operation of schools.
