PEP Discusses New Legislative Framework for TC Properties

A delegation from the Pancyprian Refugee Association (PEP), led by its President, Giorgos Lysandridis, met with the Management Service of TC properties to discuss a new legislative framework regarding Turkish Cypriot properties. The meeting addressed ways to resolve issues submitted to the Association by concerned refugees and current users of TC properties.

According to a PEP announcement, the evaluation of applications and implementation actions were discussed, and suggestions were submitted to improve procedures and applicant information. PEP will contribute to the promotion of manuals for uniform evaluation and management of requests from the Service's District Offices.

PEP seeks continuous cooperation to resolve problems and submit suggestions for legislative amendments. It also states that additional actions are needed to address injustices regarding the use and exploitation of TC residences and agricultural plots. Controls are expected to begin on existing agricultural plot leases.
