DISY Questions AKEL and Volt on Turkey's Role

DISY has released a new statement regarding the positions of AKEL and Volt concerning Turkey and the Cyprus dispute.

In its statement, DISY questions whether the left-wing parties AKEL and Volt believe that there is no occupying army, settlers, and extremist elements that are puppets of Ankara.

DISY emphasizes that liberation from invasion and occupation will not be achieved with naive perceptions, and reiterates that the differences are solely with Turkey and those who serve its plans.

The Democratic Rally states that it is constantly fighting for a solution based on the agreed framework, which will rid Cyprus of Turkish troops, foreign guarantees and unilateral intervention rights, and which will respect European principles and values.
