DISY: Investigation into Alleged Leak of Membership Registry to AKEL

The Commissioner for Personal Data Protection has requested explanations from DISY regarding allegations of a leak of the membership registry to AKEL during the 2023 presidential elections. The investigation was launched following a public discussion between DISY officials on the "X" platform, where Michalis Ioannidis accused Petros Demetriou of handing over the registry. Commissioner Eirini Loizidou Nikolaidou sent letters to both Pindarou and Ezekia Papaioannou, requesting an official response. Simultaneously, DISY is focusing on criticizing the government's handling of the fires, demanding immediate action and the establishment of an Investigation Committee.

DISY is demanding answers regarding the recent fire in mountainous Lemesos and the country's preparedness to deal with such disasters. It also proposes the creation of a Unified National Operations and Crisis Management Center.
