DISY: Ioannides-Dimitriou Clash Over Presidential Elections

A heated exchange erupted between former Deputy Minister to the President, Petros Demetriou, and the current head of DISY's shadow cabinet, Michalis Ioannides, via the platform “X” (formerly Twitter).

The trigger was a post by Michalis Ioannides regarding the 2023 Presidential elections and the election of the current President, in which he stated that DISY voters approved of the party's policies but disapproved of the behavior of certain individuals.

Petros Demetriou responded, calling Ioannides' statement offensive and divisive, especially when referring to Averof Neofytou.

Michalis Ioannides retorted, arguing that no conference was ever held to judge the truths and assign responsibilities.
