Dimitriou: Greece is Cyprus' Most Valuable Ally

The President of the Parliament, Annita Dimitriou, stated that Greece is Cyprus' most valuable ally and support, during her meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Ioannis – Michael Loverdos in Nicosia.
Dimitriou highlighted the consequences of the Turkish invasion and occupation and stressed the importance of maintaining a united front for the survival of Cypriot Hellenism. She also expressed concern about the 5 Greek Cypriots being held in the occupied territories.
Loverdos stressed that the Cyprus issue is a top priority for Hellenism worldwide and that it must be placed on the correct basis, as an international problem of invasion and occupation. The need for a more modern approach to diaspora issues was also discussed.
