New Facade at the Pentagon: Mitsotakis' Message on Armed Forces

The inauguration of the new bioclimatic facade of the Ministry of National Defence took place, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The project was designed by sculptor Kostas Varotsos.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to the modernization program of the Armed Forces, with emphasis on the superiority of the Air Force through the new Rafale, F-16 Viper fighters and the upcoming F-35.

Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias announced a competition for the promotion of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

The new facade includes the construction of a bioclimatic facade on the central building, in combination with the renovation of the surrounding area. In the central part, the work of Kostas Varotsos, the "Ark of National Memory", has been placed.

The event was attended by, among others, Kostas Tasoulas, Haris Doukas, Vangelis Venizelos, Nikos Hardalias, Thodoros Skylakakis, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Adonis Georgiadis, Michalis Chrysochoidis, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Marina Alexopoulou, Olga Gerovasili, Michalis Katrinis, Evripidis Stylianidis, Evangelos Meimarakis.
