The Vice President of OELMEK, Andreas Mavratsas, has called on the organization's president, Dimitris Taladiros, to apologize for a sexist comment he made regarding the Minister of Education in relation to the teacher evaluation plan. Mr. Mavratsas stated that Mr. Taladiros's phrase, "a woman was found, fifty years later, to change the plan," does not reflect the ethos and principles of OELMEK.

The Vice President of OELMEK emphasized that disagreement with the Minister of Education is legitimate, but the manner of expression must be respectful. He stressed that OELMEK must exude respect and seriousness, and that Mr. Taladiros owes a public apology to safeguard the organization's credibility.
