Controversy in occupied territories over population and foreign workers

A controversy has erupted in the occupied territories regarding the number of foreigners and foreign workers residing in the area. The statements of the "Minister of Interior", Dursun Oğuz, who claimed that the number of foreigners amounts to 100,000, have sparked reactions.
The "MP" of the Republican Turkish Party (RTK), Urun Solyali, disputed the announcement, speaking of unreliable and confusing announcements. Mr. Solyali countered the "Minister's" claim, pointing out that the number of workers with work permits alone reaches 105,000, while officially registered foreign students amount to approximately 90,000.
He also recalled the recent statement by the "Prime Minister", Ünal Üstel, regarding a population of 590,000, which showed an increase of 200,000 people within a year. Mr. Oğuz had stated that 2,500 foreigners were denied entry and 821 people were deported.
Mr. Solyali posed the question to the "Minister": "What is the number of citizens of the TRNC?"
