Polakis-Georgiadis Clash Over Nepal Comments

A controversy erupted between Pavlos Polakis and Adonis Georgiadis following a comment by the former regarding the events in Nepal. SYRIZA MP, Pavlos Polakis, posted a video purportedly showing a helicopter evacuating government officials from Nepal, commenting, "Hopefully the same happens here."

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis responded sharply, stating that in Nepal, "they lynched a leftist government." He explained that the Nepalese government was a coalition with the main party being the CPN (Unified Marxist-Leninist), which he described as a left/center-left party, along with other parties, including the Nepali Congress.

Mr. Georgiadis concluded by saying, "A coalition of the KKE and SYRIZA of Nepal was their government, and he hopes the people will stone them here too... whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad."
