Reactions to National Anthem at Cyprus-Greece Game

Reactions have been sparked following the playing of the National Anthem at the Cyprus-Greece Eurobasket game. Androulla Vassiliou publicly expressed her annoyance via a post on social media.

Specifically, Mrs. Vassiliou stated: "Tomorrow, when Tatar uses it as an example of our intolerance, we will rush to patch things up. Or do we think these nationalistic outbursts stay between us?" Her statement provoked various reactions.

Commenting on the post, it was mentioned: "We apologize, Mrs. Vassiliou, for not getting permission from Tatar, Erdogan, and who knows who else for our National Anthem! One question though: When you were the wife of the President of the Republic, what National Anthem did you have then?"
