American fighter jets operate over Cyprus

Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets are operating over Cyprus, according to a statement from the British Ministry of Defence.

The US has begun using British bases for specific defence operations, aimed at deterring Iran from launching missiles in the region, which would endanger British lives.

Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets continue air operations over Cyprus, Qatar and Jordan, as well as in the wider region, to defend British interests and allies.

A Merlin helicopter is heading to the area, providing additional aerial surveillance and further enhancing the defensive capabilities that had been developed earlier in the year.
