AKEL Proposes Laws to Limit Foreign Property Purchases in Cyprus

AKEL is submitting two new bills to Parliament today aimed at limiting property purchases by foreigners and foreign-owned companies.

According to a party announcement, the proposals aim to protect the right to housing for low- and middle-income strata and to curb the uncontrolled sale of land.

AKEL General Secretary, Stefanos Stefanou, will hold a press conference on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Nicosia.
