UN Envoy to Cyprus Expected in Early September

The personal envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Cyprus is expected in Cyprus in early September, according to diplomatic sources. There has been no official confirmation of the visit of Maria Angela Holguin yet.

Maria Angela Holguin is expected to meet with the President of the Republic and the Turkish Cypriot leader to discuss the opening of checkpoints and other low politics issues.

A tripartite meeting between Guterres, Christodoulides, and Tatar will follow later in September, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
