Zacharaki: 10,000 Defibrillators in Schools & Teacher Appointments

The Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki, announced the provision of 10,000 defibrillators to schools across the country. The program is funded through the Sectoral Development Program of the Ministry of Education with a budget of €10,000,000.

The aim is to create a safer school environment and raise awareness on health issues. The completion of the appointment process for 10,000 teachers was also announced.

Ms. Zacharaki assured that there will be no reduction in Ancient Greek studies due to the integration of Economics into the curriculum in the third year of Gymnasium (lower secondary school).
