Health Ministry Supports Hematology Clinic at Nicosia General Hospital

The Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, expressed the Ministry's support for the Hematology Clinic of the Nicosia General Hospital (OKYpY) during an event celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Mr. Damianos referred to the clinic's history and the "esteemed scientific staff" that provides high-quality services. He also emphasized that the clinic has received recognition and awards for its work.
The clinic's activities include monitoring patients with hematological diseases, performing bone marrow biopsies, training specialists, and operating a specialized clinic for patients with Hemophilia. In addition, it operates a day care unit and performs autologous bone marrow transplants.
The Hematology Clinic is a center for Autologous Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation in Cyprus (ΑΜΑΑΚ). The Minister highlighted the clinic's importance to patients and society, assuring the continued support of the Ministry of Health.
