Interior Ministry Clarifies Support Measures for Fire Victims in Limassol

The Ministry of Interior has provided an update on the implementation of support measures for those affected by the recent fire in the Limassol district.

Regarding the lump sum payment to cover basic needs, disbursements have already begun to eligible recipients, with the aim of completing the process within the next week.

Those who do not have an account with the General Accounting Office are requested to complete the relevant form through their Community Councils.

Additionally, a team of officials from the Limassol District Administration will hold open meetings at the Community Councils of the affected areas to inform citizens. Visits have been scheduled to the following communities:

• Friday, August 1, 2025:
  • Kividhes, 10 a.m.
  • Agios Amvrosios, 11:30 a.m.
• Saturday, August 2, 2025:
  • Vouni, 6 p.m.

Members of the Civil Defence Force will accompany the team to record any new needs of the citizens.
