President Nikos Christodoulides has assured that the four-lane Polis Chrysochous-Paphos highway will proceed as planned, based on the announcements made last December.

During the inauguration of development projects in Polis Chrysochous, the President reiterated his commitment to the construction of the highway, emphasizing that it will contribute to the utilization of the region's potential. The plan includes the creation of additional access via Mesogi.

The project is expected to be completed between 2030 and 2032. The Council of Ministers has approved the call for tenders for the first phase of the highway, while the call for the second phase, concerning the section from Polis to Stroumpi, is expected within the first quarter of 2026.

President Christodoulides stressed that the Government has the determination to terminate problematic contracts, guided by the public interest and the management of public funds. He affirmed that he will never allow the state to become a hostage to problematic contracts and non-transparent procedures.
