Vandalism at Progressive Student Movement Stand

Unknown individuals vandalized the equipment of the Progressive Student Movement at the University of Nicosia, writing fascist symbols and abusive slogans.

In a statement, the student group condemned the vandalism, referring to "dastardly ELAM members." The Progressive Student Movement stressed that such actions are an indication of the audacity of fascist elements and that the normalization of the far-right is leading Cypriot society on dangerous paths.

The group stated that the threats and attacks do not discourage them, but rather encourage them even more to continue their struggle for democracy, equality, anti-fascism, and social justice.
