Tychikos Awaits Official Invitation from Ecumenical Patriarchate

Former Metropolitan of Paphos, Tychikos, has not yet received an official invitation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate, according to Evangelia Poulla, representing the law firm acting on his behalf.

In statements to CNA, Ms. Poulla stated that they are awaiting the invitation to begin further proceedings. She also clarified that it is important to know who will accompany Mr. Tychikos to the Patriarchate, as well as whether lawyers or a canon lawyer will be able to attend.

Ms. Poulla described the development of the case as positive, and mentioned that Mr. Tychikos has appealed after the decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus.

Asked how Bishop Tychikos is spending his time, Ms. Poulla replied: "prayer and fasting".
