TOM: New Call Center for Improved Citizen Service

The Department of Road Transport (TOM) has established a call center to improve citizen service. The relevant contract was signed on Monday, in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis.

Mr. Vafeadis described the move as a "small action" that will solve a "huge problem," providing immediate service to citizens. He stated that the call center will operate on a more professional basis, and citizens will be better served within six weeks.

When asked about serving citizens awaiting appointments for TAKATA airbag replacements, the Minister replied that the call center will assist with any communication with TOM. He clarified that securing appointments for recalls is done between citizens and the company, but TOM can act on behalf of citizens towards the companies.
