Epiphany in Paphos: Celebrated with Grandeur

The Holy Epiphany was celebrated with great splendor in Paphos. The official ceremony took place this year in Paphos, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, and the Archbishop of Cyprus, Mr. Georgios.

Archbishop Georgios wished divine enlightenment to the President of the Republic in view of assuming the presidency of the E.U., with the aim of promoting the Cyprus issue.

The celebration focused on the Holy Church of Agioi Anargyroi, where the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and the Great Blessing were performed. This was followed by a procession to Paphos Harbor, where the Primate of the Church of Cyprus performed the immersion of the Holy Cross.

The procession was accompanied by the Cyprus Police Philharmonic, while the National Guard Philharmonic and a military detachment paid honors.
