TechIsland Mobilizes Support for Cyprus Wildfire Victims

TechIsland has mobilized Cyprus's tech ecosystem to support wildfire victims and recovery efforts following the recent devastating fires. Over 50 companies and professionals have already pledged contributions.
The initiative, which began as an immediate response, is evolving into a long-term plan to address the impacts of climate change. TechIsland will allocate the funds raised to three pillars: prevention and fire protection, monitoring and early warning systems, and covering immediate needs of those affected.
Valentinos Polycarpou, President of TechIsland and CEO of Wargaming, stated that strengthening Cyprus's resilience requires a collective and long-term effort. Ugne Buraciene, Group CEO of payabl., emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the community. Alexey Gubarev, Co-founder of Palta, highlighted the importance of private sector leadership. Aleksandr Vasekin, CEO of AdTech Holding, expressed the need for solidarity and prevention. Vitaly Avtaykin, CEO of RoboMarkets, stated the company's solidarity with those affected.
Companies such as Wargaming, Exness, payabl., GDEV, RoboMarkets, and many others are participating in the initiative. More details will be announced soon.
