Water Supply Issues Continue in Nicosia

Water supply problems persist in areas of Nicosia, following a malfunction in the water supply pipeline of the Water Development Department.

Connection works for the Vasilikos - Nicosia project were completed on August 27, but the pipeline malfunction caused additional problems. Although the damage has been repaired and the water supply to Lakatamia, Anthoupoli, Deftera, Anageia, and Ergates has been restored, some properties remain without water.

The General Manager of the Nicosia District Self-Government Organization, Konstantinos Parmaklis, stated that the lack of water is due to the emptying of water tanks and the deregulation of pressure systems.
