Culling of Cattle with Severe Symptoms Continues in Dromolaxia

The culling of cattle continues in Dromolaxia, with veterinary services focusing on two units where animals exhibit severe clinical symptoms.
Sotiria Georgiadou, spokesperson for the veterinary services, stated that the procedure exclusively concerns cows that are suffering and spreading the virus. She also denied reports of healthy sheep and goats being culled.
Nicosia is awaiting a decision from the European Commission regarding the request promoted by the President of the Republic to end the culling. Ms. Georgiadou pointed out that deviating from European legislation remains difficult.
