Military Museum to Open at Pentemili Beach in Kyrenia

Pentemili Beach, the starting point of the 1974 Turkish invasion, will be transformed into a military museum managed by the Evkaf Administration. This was announced by the "Minister of Public Works and Transport," Erhan Arıklı, ending discussions about the area's future.
According to Turkish Cypriot media, the beach's lease to a private company expired in 2024 and was not renewed. The decision to create the museum followed a request from the commander of the Turkish military in the occupied territories, with the support of the "Prime Minister" and government partners. The private company reportedly agreed to donate its investments for the museum.
Mr. Arıklı also addressed pier licensing issues, asserting the legality of the actions taken by the relevant authorities.
