A serious accident occurred in Mykonos, involving 49-year-old Volt CEO, Thomas Greenwood. The accident took place at 05:44 on August 20th, when the ATV he was driving veered off course and collided with a wall in the Koukoulou area.

Greenwood was seriously injured and initially taken to the Mykonos Health Center. Due to the critical nature of his condition, an air ambulance was arranged via EKAV to the Nikaia General State Hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition has stabilized, but remains serious.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including whether Greenwood had an ATV driving license and whether he was wearing a helmet. A blood sample has also been taken to check for alcohol or drug consumption.

The accident highlights the dangers of uncontrolled ATV traffic on the islands, especially for tourists who are inexperienced in driving such vehicles. Many accidents with Greek and foreign victims have been recorded in recent years.
