A weak high pressure system is affecting the area, while a weak low pressure system is expected from Thursday. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere at times.

Today, the weather will be mainly clear, although locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times. The winds will be mainly northeasterly to easterly, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough in the west, but rough to rough in the other coastal areas. The temperature will rise to 20 degrees inland, around 21 on the coast and 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, increased high cloud cover will be observed at times. The winds will be mainly northerly to northeasterly, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough and locally rough to rough in the windward areas. The temperature will drop to around 6 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and around 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.

On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mainly cloudy, while isolated showers are possible during the afternoon hours, mainly in the mountains. Snow or sleet may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.

On Saturday the weather will be mainly cloudy and local rains are expected at times.
