Safe Boxes on Paralimni-Deryneia Beaches: Prices and Operation

The Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia is continuing the installation of smart personal item storage boxes (safe boxes) on its beaches. The first installation includes 40 boxes, and seven more installations will follow at various locations.

The Mayor, Giorgos Nikolettos, stated that this initiative aims to solve the problem of storing items for swimmers and those exercising on the Protaras coastal promenade.

The boxes are activated by palm recognition or a four-digit code and have a mobile charging cable. Prices for small boxes are 1 euro per hour and 8.90 euros for 24 hours, while for large boxes they are 2 euros per hour and 12.90 euros for 24 hours.

The Municipality clarifies that the installation and operation are carried out by a private company, which also determines the charges.
