Rhodes: Newborn Dies Hours After Birth

A newborn infant died hours after being born in a hospital in Rhodes. The infant presented serious respiratory problems immediately after delivery.

Born on Saturday night, its critical condition necessitated an airlift to a hospital in Heraklion, Crete. It was transferred to the Venizelio Hospital, where doctors tried to stabilize it in the Intensive Care Unit. Unfortunately, the infant passed away a few hours later despite the doctors' efforts.
