Firefighter Rescues Dog from Larnaca Fire – Touching Photo

A photo posted by Fire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis on the "X" platform has sparked emotion. The photo depicts a firefighter rescuing a dog from a fire in an apartment building in Larnaca.

According to Mr. Kettis, this act "reminds us that respect and care for every living being is a sign of humanity."

During the incident, eight people, including two young children, were taken to the Emergency Department of Larnaca General Hospital with respiratory problems due to smoke inhalation.

The fire broke out in an apartment in a two-story building. The occupants of the apartment, three members of the same family, managed to exit the building as soon as they noticed the fire. Significant damage was caused not only to the apartment where the fire broke out, but also to other apartments due to the transfer of smoke and hot gases.

Initial indications suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical problem in a light fixture.
