Fire Caused by Fireplace in Larnaca House

A fire broke out due to a fireplace in a house in the Larnaca province. According to a statement, the fire department received a message at 18:43 about a fire in a house in the Kalavasos community.

The Vasilikos Fire Station responded with two fire trucks and brought the fire under control at 19:50. Part of the wooden roof was destroyed by the fire and heat, without affecting the contents of the house.

The fire was caused by heat loss in the fireplace chimney.
