Repatriation Flights Bring Cypriots Home from Middle East

Two repatriation flights carrying Cypriots from the Middle East arrived today. The Cyprus Airways aircraft, an AirBus A320, landed at Larnaca airport at 18:20, carrying 180 passengers.
This is the second chartered flight by Cyprus Airways from Dubai, bringing a total of 362 Cypriots out of the 756 who wished to return. A second Tus Air flight from Abu Dhabi, with 143 passengers, also landed with a delay.
Andis Georgiou, a pilot with Cyprus Airways, stated that the company fulfilled its duty by safely transporting citizens. MEP Fidias Panagiotou welcomed his fiancée and thanked the Republic of Cyprus for organizing the flights.
Passengers expressed their relief at returning and praised the organization of the operation.
