Elementary school teachers will be at schools on September 1st, while students will return on September 8th, 2025. The Director of Elementary Education, Marios Stylianidis, wished a happy and creative year for teachers, children, and parents.

During the period of September 1-5, the necessary procedures for the smooth start of schools will take place, such as student allocation, timetable preparation, and inspection of school premises.

The "Educator's Two-Day Event" will take place in the first week of the school year, from September 2 to 5, 2025.

Special attention will be given to welcoming first-grade children, while children in Compulsory Pre-primary Education will also start on September 8th. Children aged 3-4.5/12 who did not attend kindergarten the previous year will start gradually.

In his circular, Marios Stylianidis referred to the need for students to acquire knowledge and skills through experiential activities, developing their critical and creative thinking.

For the 2025-2026 school year, policies such as the expansion of free pre-primary education, the updating of curricula, and the increase of Optional All-Day Schools will be implemented.

In addition, increased teaching time will continue to be provided for Greek as a second language and for remedial teaching. Support measures will be in place to prevent and combat school violence and delinquency.

Mr. Stylianidis wished a good school year and reminded everyone of the need to adhere to self-protection measures against viral infections.
