Alert! TOM Issues Warning About Dangerous Vehicles

The Department of Road Transport (TOM) is warning the public about dangerous vehicles reported through the European Union's (EU) Safety Gate rapid alert system during the 37th week of 2025.

The announcement concerns passenger vehicles and caravans. TOM calls on manufacturers, representatives, distributors, importers, and sellers to inform the Department about any distribution of such products on the market of the Republic of Cyprus and to take measures for their recall.

Consumers who own these vehicles are advised to contact the manufacturer or representative for instructions. If they own components deemed dangerous, it is recommended to discontinue their use and return them to the point of purchase.

In case of refusal to respond by economic operators, consumers can submit a complaint to the Consumer Protection Service through its website.
