Tender Announced for Skaramagas Triple Junction Project

The tender for the construction of the triple junction in Skaramagas has been announced, a project aimed at upgrading the transport map of Attica. The project's budget amounts to 70 million euros, including options.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, emphasized that the project will significantly contribute to reducing traffic congestion in the area, offering an alternative route from Attiki Odos to Piraeus and the southwestern suburbs, while also decongesting Kifissou Avenue.
The expected benefits include the creation of a unified axis of L. Schistos with the Western Peripheral Highway of Aigaleo, the elimination of traffic problems in L. Schistos, the diversion of traffic from L. Kifissou to the new axis, and the upgrade of the Athens-Corinth National Road with three traffic lanes in the area of the Schistos-Skaramagas junctions.
The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Nikos Tahiaos, stated that the project is a substantial intervention that will significantly improve traffic in an area with a high concentration of logistics facilities.
The Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, noted that the project is a key milestone and priority for the regional authority.
The Alternate Minister of Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis stated that the project will decongest the road network and enhance road safety.
