Forest Fire in Mandria, Limassol Under Full Control

A forest fire that broke out in the area of Mandria community, in the Limassol district, was brought under full control shortly after 6:30 PM.

According to an announcement by the Department of Forests, the fire was brought under control at 6:50 PM, before it spread, thanks to the immediate intervention of the firefighting forces. The fire burned a very small area of dry grass.

Six people from the Department of Forests with two fire trucks, as well as the community leader of Mandria community with a small fire truck of the Community Council, participated in the extinguishing operation.

The causes of the fire are under investigation.
