Turkish Farmer Violates Buffer Zone in Avlona

A new incident of buffer zone violation occurred this morning in Avlona.

A Turkish farmer entered the area with a tractor and mowing machine, attempting to cultivate a field.

The community leader of Avlona, Menelaos Savva, stated to RIK that the field does not belong to the farmer and that the area has been designated as "frozen" by the United Nations, prohibiting its cultivation.

Members of the United Nations intervened immediately and removed the farmer from the area.
