University of Cyprus: Admission with 8 – Which Faculty?

The results of the Pancyprian Entrance Examinations reveal significant differences in admission scores at the University of Cyprus, even within the same faculty.

According to a report by Evagelia Sizopoulou in "Fileleftheros," at the Faculty of Classical Studies, the top-scoring entrant achieved 19.75, while the lowest scored just 8. Similar discrepancies were observed at the Faculty of History and Archeology, with a difference of 9 points.

At the Faculty of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, the difference was also significant, with the top score nearing 18 and the lowest below 10. In contrast, faculties such as Medicine, Computer Science, and Architecture experienced high competition and small differences in scores.
