Paphos: Impressive catch of 200 kg of rabbitfish

An impressive catch occurred in the Agios Georgios area of Paphos, where professional fishermen Tasos Charalambous and his son Christos Kleanthous caught over 200 kg of rabbitfish (Siganus rivulatus).
Rabbitfish, also known as προσφυγούλες in Greece, are particularly popular in Cyprus for their taste and are often used as a meze.
Despite the successful catch, fishermen face challenges such as weather phenomena, damage to nets by dolphins, and the impact of the spread of pufferfish.
The catch will be available at Vasilis Fish Market.
